Peppermint
Essential Oil

These essential oils are obtained by steam distillation of the entire herb. Peppermint oil is extremely high in Menthol content, which can almost seem to take the breath away. Other oils that blend well with Peppermint essential oil include Melissa, Lemon, Lime, Grapefruit, Eucalyptus, Sweet Fennel, and Clary Sage. Peppermint essential oil is cooling, and head-clearing, and has been used to aid mental concentration, nausea, morning and travel sickness, headaches and hangovers. It is widely used in the food and beverage industries and shampoos. It is also often used for flu and colds as a breathing aid, and is a natural insect repellent. Do not apply to the skin in concentrations greater than 0.5-1%, especially with children and do not use near the eye. Do not use if you have hay fever.
